AI E-Commerce Automation with Python
Build a Product Engine
Most automation tutorials stop at “it ran”. This one builds a product engine you can check: every number on screen comes from a real run of the course code, and every stage ends up covered by tests.

- 35 automated tests
- 30-product practice catalog
- A quiz per section
What you’ll build
One product engine, built section by section on a 30-product practice catalog.
- A loader and normalizer for a 30-product supplier catalog with deliberate defects: missing barcodes, a zero cost, a duplicate SKU, mixed units
- A pricing engine with a floor per marketplace, from example fees, shipping and a target margin
- Barcode, category and attribute checks that block bad products before any AI call
- AI-written titles and bullets, checked word by word against the supplier's facts, with claims that must cite their evidence
- Shopify-, eBay- and Amazon-style payloads, built by one adapter per marketplace
- A publisher that refreshes tokens, retries rate limits and timeouts, and looks before it retries, so nothing is listed twice
- A review queue, a corrections file, waivers, an audit trail, and a final check that asks each marketplace what it holds
The 9 sections
39 video lessons, 2.6 hours in total. Each section ends at a checkpoint you can download and compare with, and a short quiz.

How the course works
- 9 sections, each ending at a checkpoint you can download and compare with
- A short quiz at the end of each section
- Common mistakes and short exercises along the way
- 35 automated tests by the end
What you’ll learn
- Build a Python pipeline that turns a messy supplier catalog into clean, validated products
- Price every product per marketplace from fees, shipping and a target margin, and hold listings that can't sell at a profit
- Validate barcodes, categories and required attributes before anything costs money
- Write listing titles and bullets with AI, and check every word against the supplier's facts with a guardrail
- Turn one product into Shopify-, eBay- and Amazon-style payloads with the adapter pattern
- Publish to mock marketplace APIs with token refresh, safe retries and no duplicate listings
- Route every problem to a review queue, apply corrections, and keep an audit trail of every decision
Honest notes
- The marketplaces are a mock that runs on your computer. Nothing in this course contacts Shopify, eBay or Amazon, and you don't need a seller account.
- The payloads are simplified teaching versions modeled on the real APIs; they are not proof that a real API would accept them.
- The AI step runs offline by default. Live mode with Claude is optional and billed to your own Anthropic account.
- The fees, categories and catalog are examples made up for the course.
- The guardrail checks words, not meaning: text that passes it is not proven true, so a person should read AI text before it's published.
- This course teaches you to build the engine. It can't promise sales or income.
